Fertilisers

N – Chicken pellets – leaves
P – Superphosphate – roots
K – Sulphate of potash – fruits and flowers

Tomatoes – prune for airflow

Pumpkins – grow in opposite direction from first true leaf

Spring – Don’t put the seedlings outside unprotected just because it’s sunny. When they’re small, they burn in the sun. Put a cover over the top; don’t leave out all day.

September – Mr Fothergill’s white mustard. 70g = 25 sqm.
