I started pulling up the corn cockles, which turned out to be a slower more boring job than I had hoped. I also took up all the onions. Some aren’t bad, they’re just small. But some are rotten and split. It looks like it’s white onion rot, which means that I can’t use that ground for the onion family for 8 years. I’m wondering if the disease was actually already in the soil.
