The uncovered beds were frozen below an inch deep and wet on top today. I manured and covered the little veg bed by the shed which had been weeded a while ago. The bigger veg bed hasn’t been weeded yet, so I just covered it to warm it up. I really must buy more pegs; I ended up taking them from other beds.

I hand weeded out docks from the corner of the big bed. Soil is muddy, but not too muddy and the long roots of docks slipped out quite well. I dumped the remaining half bag of manure on it and re-covered the corner.
