Ever since asking four places to send me their free seed catalogues, they’ve been spamming me with their newsletters and offers. Sure, I could unsubscribe, but then I’d have missed the free P&P at Mr Fothergill’s last weekend. That was a good opportunity to grab, since it was going to add up to about £6 otherwise, on account of the seed potatoes I wanted.

The Pentland Javelin Earlies will be sent in January, but the seeds are here now and I’ve been wandering around the house with the packets in my hands, excited to have something new to play with. I’ve also now ordered the rest of my seeds. So I can wander round the house holding those when they turn up too.
