We spread one bag of manure and one of soil conditioner over most of front bed; that has given me an idea of how much of each I need to buy. The manure certainly feels like something more substantial and effective to add to the soil.

I planted allium bulbs all along the fence at the front and down the right hand side. I have more of those than I thought, so there are more yet to go. The ranunculus I’ve put in a patch near Mr B’s gate. Mum did more good weeding and I picked more apples. I also pulled up the last tomato plants and harvested the last few reasonable sized beetroot.
