I went down to plant the pieces of geum, but of course, there was another job to care of first: stand the obelisk back up again. I hadn’t planted it as deeply as last year and it had already been blown over a bit. I’ve now pushed it in a little deeper, put some staples around it and also run a small piece of wire from the fence to the obelisk. All in all, I’d like to think it’ll get the idea.

I’ve put the biggest piece of geum near the shed, in front of the everlasting sweet pea. Another big bit is on the right-hand end of the trellis. The two smaller pieces are at the left-hand end of the trellis and at the right end of the ledge, down at the front.
