I’ve finally sown the new rows of beetroot and carrots and filled in the gaps in the existing beetroot rows too. I dug up more bolted radish and resowed in case I can get some for the summer party. I mixed up some fertiliser food and fed the gourds for the first time.

On a social visit to the plot later, Suzy and I did some hand weeding and pulled up a bucket of bindweed and mare’s tail between us.

At home, a flower has opened on biggest pepper plant.
