We took another 4 sacks of manure to the plot (another £5 voucher!). Everything was ok in the plot, but one of my orange buckets seems to be missing. The oldest one gave up earlier, but only one good one remained – with a load of rain in it. I’ve now moved the buckets into the shed, but am perplexed as to where the other orange one is. (Note – Mum realised a while later that it was in the garage with the dahlia tubers I’d forgotten all about )

I picked the last few apples. None of them is particularly big and one must have been growing against other apples, as it has two dimpled sides to it.
