John and the girls came down for an allotment visit and to help me harvest another basket full of goodies – and add the last hamster bedding to the compost. The tomatoes won’t stop coming and I noticed little tiny new tomatoes coming too. The French beans look a little bit old now, but I’m not entirely sure how many new ones are on their way.

On closer inspection we suddenly found two more big bitter melons! There are also a couple of not too mini ones, but I’m not sure they’re out of the woods of not giving up and falling off yet. Maybe these plants just need a bit more time in the season, a lot of rain and hot snap to get going properly.

We brought home 3 big carrots and a couple of sunflower heads that were being eaten by birds or mice, or were about to be. I want the benefit of that seed please!
