A speedy zinnia showed itself this morning and by the end of the day was standing up straight with its cotyledon nice and green. Lots of dahlias were showing themselves too. What a contrast to the first tray of seeds from earlier in the months, which is still apparently dormant.

We walked down to the plot to fetch the buckets of weeds for the bin collection and it had this much snow from the weekend. I never made it down earlier in the month, when we had at least 6 inches. I imagine it must have looked very pretty.
