I planted the pink bumble bee cherry tomatoes in the front bed and Mum put the plant supports around them. They look like they’ll do a pretty good job of holding up the plants as they grow. We put the Red Alerts in the back bed next to the runner beans. The spacing worked perfectly. We even remembered to put Miracle Gro in the holes.

In the afternoon I dug over the callaloo bed, seeing as it had no callaloo. The last two Red Alerts and Pink Bumble Bees went into that bed. One of the Red Alert has a damaged stem, so we’ll see if it survives. I planted it on the end of the row. I buried all them stems a good bit deeper to try and firm them up.

I saw Mr B and asked him if he was having slug trouble too – yes, they’re rampant 🙁
