2/10/16A great achievement before lunch: the front tomato bed and the non-productive Jack Be Little (ha ha, remember that idea?) and ornamental gourd bed have now been completely dug over. But for any weeds they grow in the meantime, they’re now ready for their compost/manure dressing and then covering and tucking in for winter. After various rainfall recently the ground was good and crumbly – and even looked brown rather than clay-grey – and good for weeding, so I didn’t have to go back after lunch. Just as well really, as my sciatic nerve is really having a lot to say about this morning.
