The tomatoes were ready for a feed – fruit has already appeared! – with tomato food and in doing that I realised that I couldn’t remember whether the lone one was a cherry tomato, or a Red Alert. As per my care plan, I watered in some chicken pellets (nitrogen) around the beetroot to cheer them up a bit.

I sharpened the shears having worked out how to use my tool sharpener and now they magically work well again, rather than erratically. I edged the gourd and runner bean beds and weeded the gourd bed a bit too.
