I did more edging today, which always takes ages – especially since it took me ages to find the shears that I’d left out in the grass two days ago.

The corn cockles are mostly done and have fallollopped all over the place, so I tied them back against the fence in groups. I reduced the weeds in the middle of the potato trench and deadheaded one of the geums before heading home for a late lunch after a late start.

I still haven’t got to the weeding around small veg that I want to do.  Later on we fed the potatoes, cucamelons and apple tree and watered the rest.
