Another session of digging away at the compost heap. Last weekend I’d just started hitting a large pile of sticks in the middle of it. Lots more of those came out – a whole bucket of them in fact. It’s a matter of separating the good compost from all the rubbish, sieving it through into my gloriously orange buckets and spreading it on to dug beds. Definitely worth while, as there’s some good stuff in there, but if only I had a large-scale, constantly agitated sieve working with me to speed things along!
