The planned work at the allotment wasn’t possible as the grass was mostly under water. Suzy took the espalier wires down for me while I dug up some grass from the front bed, but the ground was very squelchy, so there was nothing else to be done.

Except test the water level in the plum tree hole, of course.

Gradually plants are coming alive again. Some but not all of the verbenas have new life and now there’s this – whatever it is.
