We had a frost this morning, so a number of the plants looked a bit defeated. The morning glory had wilted, but is yet to drop its seeds, so I’m leaving it for the moment, as it would be good to have that spread itself along the fence.
I did very autumnal, frosty work, pulling up the cosmos and zinnias for the compost. I raked up leaves and pulled up the dead courgette plant. I pulled up the empty ornamental vines – those beds are yet to be weeded. The nasturtium plants have now collapsed from the frost, but I’ve left them in place for the moment. I weeded from the shed to plum tree in preparation for the spreading of soil conditioner spreading and picked some more apples too.
