I put down my new coconut doormat – finally found one the right size. Radishes are now up and are visible from the gate. There’s some beetroot coming too.

I picked a few weeds off the ledge and found a piece of marestail more developed than I’ve seen it before, with a kind of flower head. I weeded all around the apple tree. The weeds had grown big enough that it was fairly easy (but for the crouching). The anemones under there are getting flower buds. The aquilegia in the flower beds are getting buds too.

The onion bed looks good and green, with the leaves starting to grow. It needs weeds hoeing off though. The other uncovered beds are not weedy yet – I love this plastic covering trick.
