I sowed gourds, hyssop, marigolds and sweetcorn at home. At the plot Mum finished off a bit of weeding on the ledge. I uncovered, edge and dug bed 10. Bed 2 has been edged and uncovered and I’ve started to dig it over.

What I thought was Californian poppy is not – it might just be a weed, but I can’t tell yet. Mum saw a shield bug coming out of my bug hotel, so it’s nice to know it’s been found and is in use.
