Mum mowed the grass for me today for the first time this year. Not a very short cut, due to the length of the grass, but it’s a big difference. I uncovered the beds one by one so she could get right to the edges and reduce some of my edging work.
The future quinoa bed has been put to good use in my absence, with a maze of tunnels and a mouse nest underneath the plastic. The main entrance was through a hole at the left-hand end, which went underground and re-emerged under the plastic. I won’t need that bed just yet, so we covered it up again, giving the mice notice.
