The chard sunflower is now open and beaming down at me. It at least has the good manners to be facing into the plot, unlike so many of my flowers.

A visit to the plot for a little harvest elicited the year’s first sweet corn. The broccoli is coming alive now too.  I’ve harvested the two rubbish-looking cucumbers. Hopefully the plants will turn the corner soon.
