A quick visit after some time away, just to put some rotten gourds in the compost bin – along with a pile of leaves that Mum had raked up last time. I also dug up a few more carrots and beetroot – mostly pretty big. The small beetroot are somewhat difficult to discern in their rows, as they missed proper thinning and the veg beds are utterly overgrown now. However, the grass on the paths has at least slowed down and hasn’t grown too long yet.
