Something has been under the plastic in the front narrow bed and half of it was flapping about, with the staples pulled out. There had been a strong smell of fox at the end of the path when we came down, so maybe that’s the nosy culprit.

The cucumber bed and the little compost patch next to it were weeded and combined into one bed. The two vegetable beds are done and everything has been covered in plastic. For the big veg bed we’ve covered the annoying bit of grass next to it to kill it over winter so it can be extended in the spring.

There are seedlings in the front flower bed that look quite purposeful. Not sure what they are yet, I hope they’re not weeds!

All the main beds have now been put to bed for winter. There’s just the back ledge to attempt to weed and then dress with soil improver.
